The 2020 Conference is in Las Vegas!
Sigma Tau Delta (ΣΤΔ) is the premier international English honors society. The organization celebrates student achievement in academics and literary outreach through educational social events and community
engagement in all areas of English studies, including:
- creative writing
- technical writing
- children's literature
- English education
- digital humanities, and
The UNC Charlotte chapter of Sigma Tau Delta is Beta Sigma. Our requirements for membership are that students be an English major or minor with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Any student who wishes to become a member should submit a membership enrollment form (WORD Document will download) to the English Department’s front desk and include the required dues.
This year, a group from Sigma Tau Delta will be going to St. Louis for the Annual Conference! Next year (2020), the conference will be in Las Vegas!

I'm a musician and a multi-instrumentalist. I'm an English major and I like to read and learn. I am the President of the English Honor Society. I like making graphic design and digital art. I want to listen to every song ever created! I want to learn a lot.

I am a junior level English Major with a double minor in children’s literature and religious studies. I want to eventually become an educator at the college level and am planning on obtaining my masters through a partnership with Kingston University in London. I love to travel and read, but most importantly coffee.

Hey, y’all! I’m Leah. I’m a senior studying English and History with a minor in Religious Studies. I like to spend my free time exploring museums and drinking matcha lattes. I’m excited to be serving as Sigma’s Secretary and can’t wait to see the growth and impact we'll have this year!
